Family Feud is a Facebook game which has gained increasing popularity. The classic game show has entertained fans for years, but this version is slightly different. There are two modes in the Facebook game of Family Feud, each demanding a different strategy.
Classic Mode
This mode follows, for the most part, the television version of the game. However, there is no opposing team. The player starts out with a question, and you must type in the most popular answers. The first two rounds are worth the regular amount of points (1 for each person who provides an answer that was given in the original survey). However, the third is double point value and the fourth is triple point value. Just like the show, you are allowed three incorrect responses per round.
After each round, the game shows the average score, which you must beat at the conclusion of the four rounds to move on to Fast Money. Fast Money is similar to the actual television show as well. However, you are expected to score the 200 points by yourself. You don’t get to use the second player like in the television show. This makes the Fast Money section very difficult, but you can send a request to a friend to complete this section for you after the fact and that person can act as the second player.
Tips and Tricks for this Section
- It is important to think in more general terms when providing answers. Do not be overly specific or sophisticated in your answers.
- It is possible to open up another tab and search the question to find the answers. This takes the fun out of the game, but if you are playing for points this will be helpful.
- Friends can be called upon to be your partner for Fast Money. They will play this at their leisure, but when they do, you receive a large point bonus, so it is worth your while to send out the requests.
- There are three bonuses which can be earned during play in this mode. One is for scoring over 500 in the first four rounds. The second is for scoring over 200 in Fast Money. And the third is for getting the top answer in each round.
Tournament Mode
This mode is just like the Fast Money section. This time a friend cannot be called upon to take the second turn as in Classic Mode. Instead, you face off against two other players in a single round of Fast Money. At the end, the players are awarded bonuses for finishing either first, second, or third.
Tips and Tricks for this Section
- The point values are higher for this mode if you are confident that you can win. If you get first, you receive 6,000 points, but the other rewards are much lower. So it only makes sense to play this section if you can win regularly. But, 6,000 is far more than you can feasibly earn in a game of Classic Mode.
- This section is much shorter than Classic Mode, so keep this in mind when choosing which you want to play. You may be in a hurry and pick Tournament Mode, or maybe you’d rather play Classic Mode and make your game last longer.
Increasing Points and Plays
The trick to getting points is playing every day. Facebook Family Feud awards a free game every fourth day you play in succession. Also, to increase points try for all the bonuses in Classic Mode, or try to get first place in Tournament Mode. Winning in the Facebook Family Feud game won’t come easily, but after a while you will figure out how to succeed regularly.
